Statistical Quality Control (SQC)

Scott applies stringent SQC to our quality control laboratory results for mixture assays and for each of the impurities in our pure gases. Historical data, in the form of control charts, is used to validate ongoing consistency of our electronic specialty gases within the impurity and assay specifications shown on this website. SPC Control
Scott uses SQC to validate and demonstrate the ongoing consistency of our electronic specialty gases.
Scott SQC programs trend data from the analysis of individual cylinders or batches. The historical files for each pure gas can be recalled by date and cylinder number. A primary consideration in the validity of SQC is the degree of certainty in the accuracy of the values. Drawing on our expertise as one of the world's foremost manufacturers of reference materials, Scott has developed unique ppm and ppb reference standards designed specifically for quantification of electronic gas impurities. These standards are used at all Scott facilities, along with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation, allowing us to achieve uniform accuracy. In addition to using SQC in-house as a basis for our impurity and assay specifications, SQC data can be made available to customer QA personnel during vendor audits.
