Scott uses a unique cylinder bar coding system that has enabled us to compile an extensive database containing current and historical cylinder usage. Unlike typical month-ending-balance billing systems, we draw on this database to provide you with detailed information that can help you more effectively manage and reduce cylinder usage.

Cylinder Aging and Turnover
You may request a Cylinder Aging Analysis that shows the distribution of cylinders at your location(s) - from under one month to over 20 years. The report shows the length of time cylinders have resided at your location(s) before being returned to Scott. Making this report part of your cost and inventory control procedures helps you to control cylinder use expense. That data also helps address shelf life and safety concerns, and can alert you to idle cylinders that contribute to cylinder usage costs.

eScott® Supply Chain management makes cylinder aging and turnover information available online. It provides real-time order status and shipping information, automatically alerting you when your cylinder reaches the end of its shelf life. Electronic invoicing reduces paperwork, thus significantly reducing accounting costs. |
